Grocery lists

I love my chalkboard door in my kitchen...
If not for the simple fact of jotting down grocery lists...

We add things we need throughout the week.
Then before i head to the store i snap a pic of the list on my phone.  or if i forgot, Mr H can text me the pic.  i have no idea how i lived day to day before having an iphone.

This works out perfect because I am notorious for making grocery lists and leaving them all over the house, car, work, etc. basically never having it with me at the store when i need it.

I have tried the grocery getter apps and lists on my phone and all that other junk that the iphone is capable of, but when it comes down to it, i hate typing on my iphone.  i blame my manhands.

Seinfeld clip- not actually my hands
She likes to add her own items to the list too..

pretty sure shes gonna be a lefty!

My girly is getting so big!

She is all toddler these days.  she has an on and off switch and no in between.

She talks non-stop.  Home girl has the gift of gab.  and the wisecracks that come from this one are hilarious.

I was face-timing with her the other day while she was eating dinner, and she decided to use a pair of her undies as a coozie for her drink....I mean, why not?

yes they were clean.  and yes she eats topless sometimes.  and no im not sure why i look pissed off in this photo.

We've made it to the beach a few times this year and i am happy to report that she loves it.  I mean loooves it.  She asks me almost daily, "I go to da beach?"

Such a character....

i see green!

Yardwork sucks.  point blank.  i hate it. we have been doing major yardwork the past couple months.  the latest project is growing grass.  1 month ago our backyard looked like this...

no grass, all weeds
Now, I know that summer is not the most ideal time to grow grass, but there was no time in the spring and Im not waiting until fall.

so we went to town...gutted it...the whole darn thing...we tilled, fertilized, and planted seed.

manual labor crap.

border timbers are temporary. just holding a border
We really had no idea what we were doing.  So we were super excited after just a few days to see this...

baby grass!
And a few days later...

more baby grass
That pic was taken only 10 days after we laid seed.

We gave ourselves a pat on the back.  and by that i mean, decided to tear up some more crap...

More outdoor projects to come!!!
