5 days...

This baby is going to be here in less than a week.  I can hardly believe it. Im excited and freaked out  all at the same time. Bumping at 38+ weeks...

Things are a bit crazy around here.  I am all over the place mentally and physically. The "to-do" list is getting longer and longer by the day. There is baby crap everywhere you turn. But I love it.

I took some time out over to weekend to get a mani/pedi and decided to take LA with me.  it was her first mani/pedi and she is already begging to go back. She did great.

BTW- there is nothing relaxing about getting a pedicure with a 3 year old, but it was fun nontheless.

She has been a great help around the house with cleaning and organizing things getting ready for baby.

spring is a springing

 We have azalea bushes coming out the a$$ at our house.

During the month of April I love them. the rest of the year i can take em or leave em...

A twirling nook...

 I gave this dumpy little nook in the girls room a quick makeover...it went from this...

To this...

This little area was originally going to house a glider chair, but since LA pretty much took it over as her "twirling area" I decided to leave it open for twirling purposes and make it pretty!

First thing I did was paint the crawl space doors with this pink chalkboard paint I ordered off Amazon...

And I must say they turned out super cute...

Then Mr H installed hardwood and I added some blinds that arent mini blinds...and it turned out super cute.

I added some fabric bunting above the window.  It was something super cute i came across on pinterest. 

 It was really easy to make.  I grabbed a couple yards of different color fabrics and cut them into 1-2 inch long strips...

Then tied them to a long piece of rope stuff...

no rhyme or reason to the order of the ribbon tying...

and voila...

All and all the twirling nook turned out super cute!

updates of a 3 year old...

This little girlies world is about to get turned upside down.

She is very excited about having a baby sister soon, but things are gonna change and its going to be an adjustment for everyone especially her.

She has been a huge help in getting things ready for the baby and setting up their new room...Shes very into decorating lately and wants to help with any project we are working on around the house...

She is still obsessed with ballet and is loving her ballet class...

Im taking her out for a mommy daughter day on saturday.  it will be one of the last weekends with just us. I asked her what she wants to do and she said "something fun and maybe go to the mall"  so I think i can handle that...

I love this little freak girl so much!

Homegirls very first DIY

 LA spotted this little stool in the thrift store last week and immediately wanted it.  The girls got an eye. i knew i could use it next to her bed where she has some trouble getting in and out.

I thought it would be fun to let her takeover this makeover 100%.  We went to the fabric store and she picked out her own fabric to cover it with.  I was impressed it wasnt princesses or ballerinas.

She picked out her own spray paint color for the legs...pink of course.

She assisted every step of the way.

i took over the spray painting but she got to hang close by....

and in the end it turned out super cute...

she tested it....and it works...

not bad for her first DIY.  She was pretty proud of herself...

New (to me) cabinet

My mom bought a new cabinet for her living room and lucky for me it didnt match her home. So she passed it along to me and it fits right in!

Meet my new cabinet...cute huh?

Here is the table  i had here before.

i like that little table, but the cabinet fits much better on this wall.  plus the extra storage is nice.  and it will come in handy when the baby arrives.  in 3 WEEKS!  Im thinking this cabinet will be perfect for diaper storage and all that other crap that comes with a newborn.
